Gliders are great if there's a number of artillery - but aren't til the end of the tree. ![]() Turturrets are better if there's no fasts (flying gliders/hidden eels). Sub Cruiser + Rogues is my low attrition/default setup that works against most things. Picking the right army to face a defense keeps things interesting for me - and there's some utility to manual battle as well. While there's no one-unit-to-rule-them-all situation in the age, the units are still pretty good. VF+ expect questing to get worse (on my SAV world I almost never quest because it's so many aborts) "Buy 5 FP" is a very nice recurring quest introduced in the age. This time around it was actually an intended destination age for me and I'm having some fun in it.
